Thankfully the winter has passed, and Sundripped is thawing out! I am really excited for the upcoming Summer and seeing Spring bloom is getting us in the mood for lots of outdoor adventures!
I am excited to announce we have two new stockists of the Sundripped towel! Both are based in Cornwall and have the laid back beach vibe that defines Sundripped.
Sennen Surf Co:
You will find Sennen Surf Co in the prime position of Sennen Cove directly opposite the stunning beach. In a Chapel Style building this shop is unique and after a few years closed it is now being reopened and welcomed back into the community. It was really exciting to be stocked with these guys as Sennen is my local beach and is where Sundripped had its first photo shoot!
You will find Aloft in Padstow, a town on the north coast of Cornwall. A popular holiday destination Padstow is near the River Camel estuary, the surfing town of Newquay, Bodmin and Rock is just Opposite! When i first saw Aloft i knew it would be the perfect location – with whitewashed walls, a nautical feel with splashes of bright colours, Sundripped was the perfect match!
The round beach towel UK photo shoot happened in July, on a rather rainy and dull morning. We headed down to Sennen Cove beach at the very South West of Cornwall and hoped the weather would improve! The team for the day was Lee Searle, a talented photographer and Lowenna Murley who was our model. A local girl that is set for big things, Lowenna is a surfer and skater, living the ultimate beach lifestyle!
Lunchtime arrived and a miracle happened….the clouds parted the mizzle stopped (a word for mist and rain used by locals!!) and the sun came out…Sennen was transformed! The sea turned a turquoise colour the sand was golden and we were ready to shoot! We captured all of the beach shots that you will see on the website that day, it was a long day but a lot of fun and we had a cool drink at the Ben Tunnicliffe’s restaurant afterwards to celebrate. The view from the restaurant is incredible, looking right over the beach.
The next photo shoot our team was down to two. Myself and Lee headed to St Ives, a harbour town surrounded by four beaches, art galleries and cafes. I had arranged a photo shoot to take place at the St Ives school of Painting. Naomi Frears, one of Cornwall’s leading artists, gave us permission to work in her artist room. And what a room it was! The large picture window that looked over Porthmeor beach had such a breath taking view! We worked around Naomi’s artwork and loved the paint colour tests that were all over the white walls.
We were very lucky to have had two fantastic locations for our pictures and i hope you enjoy!
